Our family sausage recipe is well over a century old and has been passed from generation to generation. Family and friends enjoyed this sausage in Italy long before our parents immigrated to the U.S. around 1920. The meat in all Mario's Sausage products is 100% pork shoulder butt (Boston butt), the cut of pork typically oven roasted and served as a main dinner course. Our sausage contains no pork trimmings and no added fat, fillers, artificial flavor or color... not ever! The same high quality meat and spices are used in every sausage product we offer.
